He Has a Pen, But Does He Know How To Use It?

Perhaps when he’s done debuting his State of the Union address around the country, Big Guy will have time to issue a more thoughtful comment on the Charlie Hebdo situation.

Because freedom of speech is a linchpin of democracy, and the threat of it succumbing to political correctness might actually be more important to the future of America than free tuition. It would be nice if Big Guy would have said something like this, from Sarah Hoyt:

With your words, your mollycoddling, your excusing of abhorrent deeds, your covering them under the tattered blanket of victims of racism, you prevent a sick, murderous culture from changing. You keep human beings in subjection. And you encourage the murder of innocents for no greater crime than speaking their minds.

First, BO wants to make sure you know what HIS priorities for the country are. First, he wants you to know that HOPE and CHANGE now include more stuff: free community college tuition - so that everyone in America can finally get the equivalent of a high school diploma. No word from the White House on the cost associated with this, butt rest assured the education-hating Republicans will oppose it.

Butt wait! I’m not done yet! Big Guy also wants to use his pen to give you cheaper, subsidized mortgages! Because every American deserves to own their home!

“I’m from the government, and I’m here to help you!”

Because that worked out so well the last time we made it possible for people with bad credit to buy houses with only 3% down-payments. Can you say P-R-E-D-I-T-O-R-Y L-O-A-N-S? Or does that sort of thing result in a deep recession only when the education-hating Republicans hold the White House? Some people say this latest FHA scheme smells a lot like the old Mafia technique of driving people out of business in order to take it over themselves.
