No Wait, That’s My Dream!

I apologize for continuing to rail against Hillary Clinton but she continues to irritate like a boil that’s been festering for a quarter of a century.

“I suppose I could have stayed home and baked cookies and had teas, but what I decided to do was to fulfill my profession, which I entered before my husband was in public life.” – Hillary Clinton, 1992

In saner times that comment alone would have served to thwart the unbridled ambition of such a smug, bitchy woman. But in the age that delivered the Magic Negro to the White House this sort of rhetoric served to cement her feminist victim bona fides.

Holding those entitlement credentials make it simply impossible for her to relinquish the stage to the legitimate winner of the presidential contest. Continuing to break ground as the country’s Whiner-in-Chief she feels free to criticize the president like no previous loser has ever dared. Here’s what she told MSNBC's Rachel Maddow:

"I'm hoping that on the really big issues there's enough authority to be able to restrain and contain the president. That's what we all have to hope because I think this president and some of the people around him pose a clear and present danger to our country."

Funny how she never noticed how President Obama and “some of the people around him” presented a clear and present danger to citizens of this country. I can think of at least 4 people placed in line of that ‘clear and present danger’ that wish she had decided to stay home and bake cookies instead of fulfilling her “profession.”

But hey, Hilz, you just keep telling the story your way.

FLOTUS Friday: Being FLOTUS, Rule Number One

It’s FLOTUS Friday already and - as I believe I promised after last week’s marathon, no Lady M pictures for at least a week - I’ll highlight a different former FLOTUS. Let’s start with a little quiz question.

Q.  How many people can an ex-FLOTUS off-load blame on for a humiliating presidential election loss?

A.  Forty-one, give or take: Meet the Hillary blame list - FORTY-ONE and counting.

In a companion piece, Piers Morgan shared a few observations on Hill’s blame-a-palooza blockbuster.

'What happened' is the title of Hillary Clinton's new 464-page book.

The answer, it transpires, is the most whiny, self-pitying, deluded load of literary claptrap written since Kim Kardashian's 'I was empowering women' defense for posting naked bird-flipping selfies.

Ah yes, Kimmie does like her selfies:

Even selfies with Kimmie and Kanye Kouldn’t help Krooked Hillary, possibly because Kim was the only one who heard Hillary’s goals for our country.

Summing things up, Hillary asks herself: 'What makes me such a lightning rod for fury? I'm at a loss.'

Hmmm, where do we start?

The truth is that everyone knows exactly what happened.

Hillary ran a diabolically elitist and blinkered campaign that basically boiled down to this mantra: 'Trump's disgusting, his supporters are a basket of deplorable idiots, I'm a brilliant woman, my husband used to be President, and I have lots of rich, famous friends – so vote for me…'

America didn't vote for Hillary because they didn't like what she represents and rejected her vague, unimaginative vision for the country.

It's as simple as that and to pretend otherwise is to ignore the harsh, cold reality that the most qualified candidate in history lost to the least qualified candidate in history.

Wait, I thought Barack Hussein Obama was the most highly qualified community organizer candidate in history.

Oh well, let’s turn now to an example in how to be a real FLOTUS. There really aren’t that many rules but Rule Number One is a rather important one to master: try to look like you don’t want to strangle your husband. (Here’s where I would normally inject a gratuitous picture of Lady M, looking like she wished her president-husband would drop dead, but(t) I promised…supply your own image if you’d like, there are dozens to choose from.)

So let’s look at few highlights from FLOTUS Melania’s very busy day:

A.M. Leaving for tour of Florida (in *gasp* flats!)

P.M. working hurricane relief in Florida

Evening: Hosting a reception for the White House Historical Association.

Nobody should be able to look that good all day long. That’s all I’ve got to say.

Gravy, On Everything

Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi went to the White House to have dinner with President Trump last night.  Afterwards there were two versions of what they had: the Dems claim they had meat, no gravy. The President says they had meat with gravy on the side which the Dems refused because they were afraid it might have poison mushrooms in it.

So he’s saving the gravy for the next time they come to dinner.

The truth, as usual, is somewhere between; they actually had Chinese food with chocolate pie for dessert.

Cultural appropriation!!

Microaggression!

Somebody call Deep State Media! It’s over, the Trump presidency is DEAD.

Again, in reality, the truth is somewhere in between and I for one don’t believe for a moment that President Trump intends to give up his gravy.

Rabbit Hole Wednesday – Hillary’s Book Signing Edition

Please, just shut your rabbit hole

There Was a Vagina Fashion Show at New York Fashion Week -  no wait, that’s not the right story. I’m supposed to be reporting on Hillary’s book signing in New York; right, here it is:  Hillary Clinton’s Book Signing Was As Insufferable As You’d Expect.

Yes, Hillary finally crawled out of the hole she fell into while stumbling around in the woods of Chappaqua. She appears to have spent her time in the hole writing a book that deconstructs her spectacular loss to Donald J. Trump because everybody was dying to know WHAT HAPPENED!?  She managed to create a spectacular tome of creative non-fiction in which she makes vain attempts at taking “full responsibility” for losing the election  while simultaneously spinning tales that shift the blame to everyone else. Specifically she fingers  Comey, the FBI, Obama, Biden, Sanders, Putin, Macedonia content farms, misogyny, the media, and “gullible Americans” aka Deplorables.

All that time, all her experience and she still couldn’t manage to lie with sufficient grace and conviction to persuade even former fan-girls.

And that leaves the rest of us in the alternate reality rabbit hole of Hillary’s world. But here, let the New York Post author explain:

Among the enduring criticisms of Hillary Clinton: Her sense of entitlement is limitless. She’s tone-deaf and doesn’t understand the average American — nor does she care to. Her greed is insatiable.

Add to this a gaping lack of self-awareness, and you have all the ingredients for the New York City launch of Hillary’s nationwide book tour Tuesday morning…

For Hillary supporters, this event was meant to be a salve, a corrective, a moment of collective grief and healing…

Hillary’s attendees were willing to follow any directive. There were many, and here, in part, were the written instructions:

“A limited number of wristbands for entry will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis with purchase of the featured title at Barnes & Noble Union Square. Hillary Rodham Clinton will sign copies of her new release, What Happened and the 2017 illustrated children’s edition of It Takes a Village, no exceptions or personalizing. She will sign up to two books per customer, one of which must be What Happened. No other books or memorabilia please. Posed photos or selfies will not be taking place . . . Book purchase and wristbands are both required to meet the author, no exceptions. Customers without wristbands will not be allowed to participate in any capacity.”

Democrats should have followed their own advice

In other words, everyone was here to serve two purposes: To make sure “What Happened” debuts at No. 1 on the bestseller list and to line Hillary’s pocket…

This book, we’ve been told, will show us a different Hillary, a humbled candidate taking personal responsibility for her loss. Yet just as that’s not true…in hawking it, she can’t help but revert to form. Wait for hours, sweat it out, love her all you want — she’s popping in for your cash, nothing more.

“Then the Big Bad Wolf huffed and puffed and blew my house down! And that’s ‘What Happened’”

My Gun Is Empty; Don’t Make Me Pull the Trigger

Following the shooting of Rep. Steve Scalise at the hands of a deranged liberal terrorist, Rep. Thomas Massie introduced a bill for national reciprocity. This bill would make it so concealed carry license would be treated like marriage licenses or drivers licenses; a permit in one state would be recognized in every other state.

The bill, however, has stalled, and Massie points the finger for this squarely at Speaker of the House Paul Ryan. – Bearing Arms

Second Amendment rights, long considered the Republicans purview, are being kicked down the road by Paul Ryan. As Glenn Reynolds, Instapundit wondered outloud: WAIT, PAUL RYAN IS BLOCKING CONCEALED CARRY RECIPROCITY? So what, exactly, is he good for?

Yeah, we give up too.

One is tempted to say the only thing he’s good for at this point is to do the Democrats’ bidding.

Speaker Paul Ryan will not allow Congressional action on national concealed carry reciprocity to move bills forward, Rep. Thomas Massie told host Mark Walters Thursday on Armed American Radio.  The reason given is Ryan thinks the timing isn’t right to consider H.R. 2909, the D.C. Personal Protection Reciprocity Act, a supplement to state reciprocity provisions of H.R. 38.

You’ve been outed as a beard

I assume that the only time Mr. Ryan would consider the timing “right” would be after the Republicans lose the House and Senate in the Midterms. Then he can once again complain that the Democrats are blocking its passage.

To quote General Kelley, although he was referring to a different Democrat  at the time, “as my blessed mother used to say ‘empty barrels make the most noise.’”

Remember Eric Cantor? He was another empty barrel who made a lot of noise until the door hit him on the way out.

A Great Way To Never Forget: Make America Great Again

I’m still worried about all my friends in Florida and Georgia, and pray no harm has come to anyone.

But now, because it is 9/11, and because it has been 16 years since Islam rained terror on our country I am reposting my grim annual reminder of what we are facing. Because already there is an upcoming generation that has no concept of the pure evil manifested that day because their teachers are not allowed to name the evil, their parents don’t want to be called Islamophobic and the Deep State Media won’t mention it’s name. In fact the entire left half of the country subscribes to the “If you can’t say something nice about Islam, #JustShutUp” doctrine. So lest we forget…

As is my tradition, we pause today to remember those who lost their lives in the Islamic terrorist attack on America and on American civilians September 11, 2001.

Celebrating today as a “Day of Service” hides the face of an evil as vile as any that has ever existed on this planet.

These hateful ideologues didn’t just attack America on 9-11, they attacked the idea of America. They hate the very values that made America the great nation it is, the champion of freedom and the light of liberty in a very dark world.

In my wildest dreams I never imagined we would voluntarily surrender any of those sacred freedoms and liberties; not in the name of safety and certainly never in the name of “diversity.”

On this somber day of remembrance (no, it’s not a “day of service”) let us remember not just the victims of that horrible day,

but let us remember why we fight these practitioners of the religion of barbarous peace.

We fight to preserve the American Idea;

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

As well as another distinctly American concept, that the government derives it’s powers from the consent of the governed – government gets its power from the people, not the other way around. Half the people and most of the government seems confused on this point so those of us who are not must continue to fight the onslaught of foreign and domestic tyrants and ideologues who seek to destroy the American Idea and with it the concept of American exceptionalism.

May God bless America, and preserve her freedom to continue to seek that blessing.

So please stay calm and carry on.

America is counting on us. And we won’t let her down.

Al Gore will get credit for having predicted it, but the resulting government shutdown will be blamed on Donald Trump.
