The immediate and unhinged blowback from CRTV’s hysterical mashup interview with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez demonstrates that somebody hit a nerve.
The Verge went so far as to say “a million Facebook users watched a video that blurs the line between bad satire and ‘fake news’.” Seriously? If you can watch this video and not realize that it’s satire:
One of two things is at play: 1) You have no sense of humor, 2) the content is so close to the truth as to make it indistinguishable.
Still, the winking emoji at the end should have provided a clue to even the clueless. Alternative explanation, as opined by Johnny Philistine:
"good satire" = lampooning Republicans
"bad satire" = exposing Democrats
"blurs the line" = our followers are too stupid to differentiate
Either way, if the hysterically funny Left believes CRTV needs to label their video as “satire” I think it only fair that the Democrats should be required to label their neo-socialist candidate as “satire” as well.
