Wave of Murder Sweeps Over Toronto: Guns Blamed

Granted, Toronto’s 58 homicides YTD can’t hold a candle to Detroit’s, but still, that’s a distressingly high count for a nation said to have common-sense gun control™ and very few murders.

Following Saturday’s fatal shooting spree by Faisal Hussain in the city’s Greektown area, Toronto’s mayor thinks the common sense solution lies in a total disarmament of the city:

“Why does anyone in this city need to have a gun at all?” he said.

I don’t know: maybe for self-defense? Due to the rapidly rising wave of violent crime in the city on the lake?

And remember kids, just like in America, in Canada when seconds count the police are only minutes away.

My, that’s a really big wave on Lake Ontario!
