Alfalfa and Buckwheat take the He-Man Woman Haters Club oath
When Spanky and the Gang formed the “He-Man Woman-Haters Club” excluding girls from clubs was still a thing. In America today you can’t exclude anybody from anything – well, except for banning conservatives from college campuses. And Muslims; they can still exclude girls (and gays) from whatever because…religious freedom. But don’t expect to use your “Freedom of Religion card” if you are a Christian who chooses not to make cakes celebrating a gay wedding. Your white privilege has officially expired as of now. And yours too, America.
Send In The ‘Migrants!’
I would note however that there are still a few ways you can legally exclude people. For instance, exclusive clubs have long enforced a dress code. If you wish to maintain standards you can require a coat and tie for men (or women who identify as men). Likewise many ban denim in any form. I would suggest that if you want to further prevent your customers/members from appearing tacky you might also ban flowing silk pajama suits.
Especially pajama suits that have been lengthened comically to accommodate a giant’s legs
I know if I were a member of an exclusive club I would not wish to be seated next to clown suit like that. I suppose they have different standards in Paris, which is where the she-womun formerly known as Lady M sported this set of PJs while hawking her book ironically titled “Becoming” – funny on so many levels. While she was there it was announced she had been named to Time’s Most Influential List. This honor elicited effusive praise from far and wide but none as gushy as that from Beyoncé Knowles, Lady M’s BFF and fellow member of the Mutual Admiration Society of African Americans. Here’s what she said about her friend:
“Loving Michelle Obama wasn't much of a choice,”
That’s an understatement.
“It was something that came naturally, because of how she carried herself.”
With the grace of a gazelle
“Because she resembled us and was moving in spaces where, as black Americans, we weren’t exactly meant to be,”
Like the Grammys? - ‘Which doesn’t belong and why?’
“she seemed so powerful.”
In some circles it’s called sexual harassment
I will note that the mean boys in Spanky’s gang eventually elected Darla as queen of their club because they felt sorry for her after she lost the town beauty pageant. Darla accepted the honor gracefully:
Darla: “I guess anybody can be a beauty queen, but not everybody can be "Queen of the He-Man Woman-Haters Club!”
In fairness, not just anyone can be a beauty queen.
but(t) as Lady M is fond of saying: “I guess anyone can be FLOTUS but not everybody can be "Queen of the She-Man Woman-Haters Club!”
That distinction requires all the right stuff.
Meanwhile back on the Hill, Congressional committee hearings resumed, still searching for evidence of presidential hijinks that rise to the level of an impeachment offense.
