We needn’t peer too deeply into the way-back machine for Throwback Thursday posts anymore. A couple months is all we need.
Remember life before the Wuhan Cootie Flu? Of course you do, it’s just no longer available.
If you needed to go shopping you simply went, without so much as a second thought let alone a face mask.
And if you forgot the toilet paper you just went back to pick some up.
If you’d been working hard all day and didn’t feel like cooking you went out to eat, without a second thought.
If you needed to have a dental procedure you called your dentist and scheduled it, without a second thought.
If you needed medical care you went to the doctor, without a second thought.
If you needed a medical procedure your doctor scheduled it, without a second thought.
If you felt like seeing your grandkids you just invited them over without a second thought…
If you wanted to go somewhere you simply booked a flight without a second thought
If you wished to go to church as you did every Sunday for your entire life you simply did so…
If you needed your windows washed, your lawn mowed…
If you needed a haircut…
If you felt like going to a movie…
If you felt like having a double half-caf skinny latte…
If you felt like going to the gym…
If you felt like going to the gun range…
If you felt like going to the beach, or a park…
And on, and on, and on…why, it’s almost as if the people who’ve seized power and control in order to exercise power and control don’t want us to think. We are simply to comply.
I don’t think that’s going to happen.
But for the partisan media hype the Wuhan Cootie Flu would already be relegated to the “oh, that’s awful but life goes on” file. And life would be going on.
When people begin to realize what’s been perpetrated here there may be blood.
