Buckle Up Buttercup

R.I.P. Ruthie. My upbringing prevents me from celebrating your demise, but I won’t be in the group extolling your virtue and legacy either.

On the outside chance you still don’t know who the Left is, allow them to tell you in their own words (caution, language):

I think this is the ex-CNN jerk getting sued for Tweeting about Nick Sandmann’s “punchable face” so don’t think he doesn’t mean it.

As Kitty Shackleford noted “Thanks Laura, for letting us know who has been behind the riots.”

So it looks like the Left’s legacy of street fighting will continue unabated - until their morale improves - which won’t happen until they win. And that’s not likely to happen if Trump places another conservative justice on the court. In the event the election decision goes to the SCOTUS as it did in 2000 they’d prefer their chances of a 4:4 (because Roberts has never really been on our side). The result of that outcome is too horrible to contemplate.

Over 50 Congress members urge Pelosi to allow remote voting amid coronavirus crisis - U.S. News - Haaretz.com

But if Trump does nominate another conservative justice, thus blocking that path to victory well, as Aslan implied, there will be hell to pay.

Rest assured that the canonization of St. Ruthie in the Church of Progressivism will take place in short order. But the fight to seat her replacement on the Supreme Court will continue on, serving as the third ring of the Dems’ long running 3 ring circus.

So have a nice Caterday.

Buckle up Buttercup, it’s going to be a rough ride.

Throwback Thursday: Mullet Head Edition

It’s Throwback Thursday, and what better day to look back on some of Joey’s past Bidenisms.

biden_court-jester

This gem has always been a personal favorite, it’s from a Boston Marathon bombing memorial in 2014 when Old Joe told the people of Boston that it “ was worth it.”

“To those quote ‘survivors,’ My God, you have survived and you have soared. It was worth… It was worth it. I mean this sincerely…”

Of course Biden apologists enthusiasts claim this was taken out of context, which it wasn’t. Unless you consider the way Joey normally speaks to be “out of context” which it often is, or as Obama’s team used to say, “it’s just Joe being Joe” which was code for “leave him alone, he’s just a bungling old fool who’ll make a great figurehead president some day.”

I sure hope nobody asks him to spell “potato” during the debates as that’s been known to kill presidential hopes.

Oh, and just for fun there’s this from the throwback vault, two mullet heads admiring each other:

And on another note: we need to re-establish those psychiatric hospitals that were so beneficently closed after the Hollywood version of Ken Kesey’s One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest hit the screen.

Because pretending that crazy people have the ability to grasp their rights and responsibilities is, well, insane.

Joe: A Man Outstanding In His Field.

I love it when Joey comes out of his basement. Especially when it’s to stand at a podium in front of a field,

to read a speech from a teleprompter to 3 masked-up, socially distanced journOlists

along with a local pest or two

You know what is actually threatening our suburbs - fires': Biden mocks Trump's law and order fear-mongering in climate crisis speech

What is that? A stinkbug? Some exotic cockroach? A drone?

and enough Secret Service agents to outnumber the other sycophants.

They’re also masked up because the Democrats need you to remain scared…and submissive.

The reason for Joe’s prepared remarks yesterday was to accuse President Trump of starting the wildfires on the West Coast, creating hurricanes in the Atlantic, allowing the COVID-19 pandemic into the country thus causing the resultant economic collapse, and encouraging the “emboldened white supremacy” he’s certain is out there.  He covered a lot of ground in a very few minutes; impressive for an old man of little brain.

For that reason I recognize him today as a man outstanding in his field: an honor he has earned time and time again.

Angry Birds. It’s Still A Thing.

When I got up early Saturday morning the waning moon was low in the eastern sky with Venus close by. The crescent glowed like an incandescent lightbulb, warm and luminous, while Venus shone like a bright LED beacon. I decided it would be a good weekend to take a break from the news.

Not quite right, but you take my point

And indeed it was, the weather was perfect in the way that only late summer weather can be, more so as we sense how fleeting such days are now. The early morning air was deceptive and could have passed itself off as an early summer day, slightly cool, damp but promising of warmth to follow. It still carried the scent of summer too, a fragrant waft of summer’s last blooms. The only thing that gave it away was its whisper: it sounded more like the rustling of crinkly cellophane than the supple, silky flexibility of green foliage.  Or perhaps that was just me.

In any event I enjoyed the weekend moratorium and woke this morning to the news: hurricanes barreling towards the Gulf Coast, another police ambush, wildfires burning out of control, riots in U.S. cities…why, it’s like I never left. Is it Groundhog day, week? Stretching now into months.

I thought this was supposed to be the year of the Black Swan.

What do you suppose the odds are of having a Groundhog event concurrently with a Black Swan event? By accident I mean?

Oh well, at least I’ve found the perfect face mask to wear in this, the year of the groundhog black swan event:

First They Came For the Jews…

It’s Sunday. Many people seek a respite from the world’s insanity by going to church to hear an uplifting message of hope and salvation. If, however, you came home feeling more alienated than heartened and inspired by the message from the pulpit this might explain why:

Infiltrating Churches via Leftist Christians

…shocking levels of infiltration and manipulation by communists of the Religious Left, particularly the mainline Protestant denominations. They had alarming, tragic success duping the religious Left. That came especially through appeals to “social justice,” to peace, to opposing war, to opposing fascism.

The two most successful communist front-groups in hoodwinking liberal Christians were the American League Against War and Fascism and the American Peace Mobilization. Note the brilliant sloganeering here: Who, after all, could oppose a “peace mobilization?” Who, after all, could oppose an organization that’s against war and fascism?

They are very wily, the Left. And Senator McCarthy was right.

McCarthyism - Wikipedia

Although it’s not just Hollywood by any means, they were just the simplest target. Eventually McCarthy was discredited, then disgraced and finally

Cancel culture” does not exist

The result: over half a century for the menace of Marxism/communism/socialism’s flawed ideology  to metastasize unabated in other quarters: Big Media, Big Government, Big Education. Now they’ve finally come for religion. Don’t let your church get sucked into the mendacity of Social Justice Warriorism.

To name her organization Black Lives Matter is absolutely brilliant. And with the way that leftists aggressively weaponize their rhetoric, they frame anyone against the organization, Black Lives Matter, as being against the goal of black lives mattering.

It is seductive and preys upon the good will of Christians - and Jews. Don’t let them.
