China reports biggest daily COVID-19 case jump in over two months
(Reuters) - China reported its biggest daily jump in new COVID-19 cases in more than two months, as a city on the border with Myanmar in southwestern Yunnan province accounted for all new local cases.
The city accounted for all of the 15 new local cases reported on April 4. The total number of new COVID-19 infections, including imported infections originating from overseas, stood at 32, marking the highest total since Jan. 31.
The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in mainland China now stands at 90,305, while the death toll remains unchanged at 4,636.
Yes, that’s correct: 90,305 confirmed cases in ALL of China – the country that invented it! Remarkable. And amazing.
Meanwhile, in Michigan on Saturday, we added 8,413 new COVID-19 cases, and 57 deaths, and posted the sixth weekly case increase in a row. In case you’re counting, that’s 768,000 COVID cases and 17, 249 COVID deaths – just in Michigan! That’s over eight and half times more than in all of China! Remarkable, and amazing. Governor Gretchen deserves an award for that remarkable achievement.
I leave you with this thought: somebody around here is a lying dog-faced pony soldier, but we’re not permitted to say who – or WHO.
