The Steal, in progress, November 3, 2020:
Liz Cheney, no doubt surprised that her colleagues are so upset with her “there was no voting fraud” stance that they’re actually going to remove her from her leadership position, fired off a 6 minute speech from the House floor last night. The media termed it “scathing” and “fiery,” the rest of us viewed it as contemptuous and self-serving.
"Today, we face a threat America has never seen before. A former president who provoked a violent attack on this Capitol, in an effort to steal the election, has resumed his aggressive effort to convince Americans that the election was stolen from him," she said Tuesday. "He risks inciting further violence. Millions of Americans have been misled by the former president, they have heard only his words, but not the truth. As he continues to undermine our democratic process, sowing seeds of doubt about whether democracy really works at all."
Voter fraud: to Democrats it’s just part of infrastructure.
As an aside, I have added Liz Cheney to the long and growing list of politicians who are dead to me due to the breadth of their betrayal of principle. If you are a long time reader you know that my fundamental belief is that sooner or later all politicians disappoint, for one reason or another. Some such disappointments are indicative of such deep dishonesty they are unforgivable. Lesser disappointments of the “we all have clay feet’ variety I will deal with, as we must.
Otherwise we’re all ANTIFA.
I don't want to be ANTIFA.
