Fences and Face Masks

“A thing may be too sad to be believed or too wicked to be believed or too good to be believed; but it cannot be too absurd to be believed in this planet of frogs and elephants, of crocodiles and cuttle-fish.” -  G.K. Chesterton

This surely does not speak well of our country’s current situation: (H/T Glenn Reynolds who asks the logical question “how long before Governor Cuomo commits suicide?”)

CAPITOLSUICIDE-532x600“We’ve come to a situation where any politically connected suicide is presumed to be a murder. The government has lost the benefit of the doubt.”

Well, that happens when your country is ruled by a crime syndicate. Not only has the government lost the benefit of the doubt, they’ve lost the benefit of our trust. It has become a dangerous place.

You know, I’ve never bought into the “Andrew Breitbart was murdered” conspiracy, but I’m prepared to reconsider my position at this point. It’s not as if it’s an original thought.

All that aside, there is something very rotten indeed, not just in the Capital police force but in the state of Washington D.C. itself. It should be rooted out but our elected officials are more interested with ensuring their own fortunes and futures, ensuring that our borders are fully open and welcoming to illegals and mandating that the legal (formerly free) citizens get vaccines and wear face masks. Do not comply. It is our right.

“Do not remove a fence until you know why it was put up in the first place.” -  G.K. Chesterton
