The Racial Animus Train Has Left The Station

We should not be surprised that such racism is proudly displayed these days, after all progressives have been promoting the “turn-about is fair play” racial narrative for decades. Obama himself seeded the new crop of racism when he declared early in his presidency that the “Cambridge police acted stupidly” in arresting Professor Henry Gates breaking into his own house.

Henry-Louis-Skip-Gates-arrested-071609-by-Bill-Carter-Demotix-Images

The incident had all the markings at the time of being an orchestrated event but I had not yet allowed myself to believe that the highest office in the land would participate in such tom-foolery. As the Obama years marched on however it became quite clear what had been set in motion: Trayvon, St. Michael, Freddie Grey: one racial incident leading to ever bigger and better racial incidents. The “never let a crisis go to waste” mentality had changed gears to “create a crisis whenever possible and exploit the hell out of it.”

baltimore freddie gray 2015 riots

By the time Donald J. Trump was elected black racism was being lionized. Milwaukee, Kenosha, Seattle, Portland…you couldn’t burn cities down fast enough! Because Orange Man bad! And racist! We’ll show you.

So it comes to this: unhinged (although crazily credentialed) out of control racists feel completely vindicated in their racial animus: Lecturer At Official Yale Event Fantasizes About Brutally Murdering White People, Claims All White People Are Rotten

In an official lecture called “The Psychopathic Problem of the White Mind,” given by Aruna Khilanani at the Yale School of Medicine’s Department of Child Study Center, Khilanani graphically described her fantasy about killing and burying white people, saying, “I had fantasies of unloading a revolver into the heads of any white person that got in my way, burying their body, and wiping my bloody hands as I walked away relatively guiltless with a bounce in my step. Like I did the world a f***ing favor.”

The audio, which can be found here, includes a number of racially charged remarks directed at white people, including, “White people are out of their minds and they have been for a long time,” as well as, “We keep forgetting that directly talking about race is a waste of our breath. We are asking a demented, violent predator who thinks that they are a saint or a superhero, to accept responsibility. It ain’t gonna happen. They have five holes in their brain. It’s like banging your head against a brick wall.”

“There are no good apples,” Khilanani remarked. “White people make my blood boil.”

Wow. That sort of uncontrolled rage used to earn you a mandated anger management class; now it most likely will earn you a tenured professorship.

All of which more or less proves that we don’t really deserve Mutt-day, but what do you say we climb aboard the Mutt Train and take a ride anyway?

Train man stray dogs 13

Corky and Eugene Bostick’s dog train, designed and built to take abandoned dogs for a ride around the brother’s property in Fort Worth Texas, became a YouTube sensation in 2015. Corky passed away at age 91 last year but his brother is still trying to keep those doggies movin.’

Kind-hearted retiree in Fort Worth, Texas takes homeless dogs for "walks" in his custom-built puppy train. Animal news blog The Dodo reports that Bostick started taking in stray dogs at his farm in Fort Worth after retiring about 15 years ago.

"We live down on a dead-end street, where me and my brother have a horse barn," he told The Dodo. "People sometimes come by and dump dogs out here, leaving them to starve. So, we started feeding them, letting them in, taking them to the vet to get them spayed and neutered. We made a place for them to live."

While Bostick said the dogs had plenty of room to run and play around his farm, it wasn't long before he reckoned that they might like to go into town for “walks.”

Later on, in town:

No “good apples” eh, Khilanani? Maybe you should get yourself a dog, that way at least somebody would love you. On second thought, I really don’t think Khilanani deserves a dog.

I Must Go Now, My Covfefe Needs Me

“I am a simple man who would just like to eat laminated pastry and sip a cappuccino outside in the sun.”

coffee croissant2

You must admit, last week was fairly crappy and to cap it off my coffee maker bit the dust yesterday somewhere around my 3rd cup.  Now this was not a coffee maker that you can just run over to Kohl's or BB&B and replace, or even order on Amazon for 2nd day delivery – unless you wish to pay full price, which you do not as it is prohibitive. No, in order to replace my Saeco ground-to-order-cup-at-a-time brewer that makes perfect regular, expresso and cappuccino for less than a third of it’s ridiculous price you have to find a reconditioned one online. Which may take awhile.

saeco coffee machineI doubt they even make this model any longer but she’s a beauty

Fortunately Raj lives in mortal fear of having his favorite things no longer available so he ordered a spare one several years ago when he spotted a reconditioned one from the Seattle Coffee Company. So it’s been stashed away awaiting our hour of need which arrived yesterday morning. We were able to confirm the old one to be completely kaput and get the new one up and running again in a bit less than an hour and a half (it takes awhile for your new coffee maker to get to know you properly).

And now Sunday morning can now proceed peacefully. If we hurry we can enjoy coffee on the deck as it’s currently sunny and just 72 degrees. I don’t have any “laminated” pastry but I do have bagels fresh from the Detroit Bagel Company and cream cheese which will do just fine.

By noon it will be in the 90s so this may well be my last chance to be outdoors for the day, so I bid you adieu and wish you and your morning coffee a good day – whether enjoyed in the sun or under coffee-colored skies.

I must go now as my covfefe needs me.

Stay Strong, The Conspiracies Will Continue

“Human beings are pattern-seeking animals who will prefer even a bad theory or a conspiracy theory to no theory at all.” - Christopher Hitchens

And that is precisely why, as Gary Hopkins tells us…

conspiracy-theories-quote-by-gary-hopkins-175498

It’s been an interesting week - in the Chinese sense of the term.

chinese-curse-sayings_6632-0_0

Drip, drip, drip; certain facts began to ooze out from under the Colossal Covid Contravention. First, St. Fauci was revealed for the poison weasel sucking liar he is. Then certain people began to expose the Covid Cabal as nothing more than an elaborate plot designed to take Trump out. But remember: we’re the kooks here.

conspiracy-theory

If you don’t mind the salty language Sarah Hoyt has an “I told you so” recap of the Covid Conspiracy of Confederates  - Where We Are Now.

You have been EGREGIOUSLY lied to and abused for a year and a half. Are you going to believe them when they say this other stuff isn’t a thing? WHY?

You’re going to believe a single word they say EVER AGAIN?

You’re going to surrender your liberties to these “benevolent” overlords again?

Or are you going to fight tooth and nail to make sure no one else, ever AGAIN has the power to do this to a single nation, let alone the world?

I urge you very strongly to look at the members of the Junta and their helpers, and visualize the real people behind the masks. Visualize people who destroy a country and the world for the sake of more power over everyone, and to keep their misdeeds from coming out.

I URGE you to contemplate that they’d rather reign in hell than serve in heaven.

And then, if you ever again believe any of the media-ginned-up hysterias without checking facts or using your brain, be aware that next time the “I told you so” will have teeth.

So stay strong my friends.

Charmin strong

And make sure you maintain your toilet paper supply. There will be further battles with the evil empire and once again toilet paper will be worth it’s weight in gold.

winston and his toilet paper

An individual is handicapped by coming face-to-face with a conspiracy so monstrous he cannot believe it exists. The American mind simply has not come to a realization of the evil which has been introduced into our midst. It rejects even the assumption that human creatures could espouse a philosophy which must ultimately destroy all that is good and decent.” ― J. Edgar Hoover

That may have been true at one time J. Edgar, but not so much anymore.

An Occasional Bleak Truth Leaks Out

you can't handle the truth

Oh I see: now that they’ve fraudulently gotten ridCT of Trump we are now free to roam about the man-made virus theory, allowed to gather and report real data for a change. From Vanity Fair:

The Lab-Leak Theory: Inside the Fight to Uncover COVID-19’s Origins

Throughout 2020, the notion that the novel coronavirus leaked from a lab was off-limits. Those who dared to push for transparency say toxic politics and hidden agendas kept us in the dark.

On February 19, 2020, The Lancet, among the most respected and influential medical journals in the world, published a statement that roundly rejected the lab-leak hypothesis, effectively casting it as a xenophobic cousin to climate change denialism and anti-vaxxism. Signed by 27 scientists, the statement expressed “solidarity with all scientists and health professionals in China” and asserted: “We stand together to strongly condemn conspiracy theories suggesting that COVID-19 does not have a natural origin.”

The Lancet statement effectively ended the debate over COVID-19’s origins before it began. To Gilles Demaneuf, following along from the sidelines, it was as if it had been “nailed to the church doors,” establishing the natural origin theory as orthodoxy. “Everyone had to follow it. Everyone was intimidated. That set the tone.”

Read the whole thing. It will confirm all of your suspicions and explain the noble and ignoble reasons behind  the Big Lie.

The Epoch Times: Pompeo Confirms Intense Opposition to Wuhan Lab Probe From State Department, Intelligence Bureaucracies confirms the battle to maintain the lie.

Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo confirmed to The Epoch Times on June 3 that his efforts to get to the bottom of how the CCP virus—also known as the novel coronavirus—spread from China to the United States met with sustained opposition within the U.S. government.

Asked about revelations in a June 3 Vanity Fair report that key officials deep within the State Department sought to keep the public from knowing that U.S. funds had supported gain-of-function research at China’s Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV), Pompeo described a “contentious battle.

I’m shocked, shocked I tell you.

mccaulyGrab your Fauci-approved shocked face mask

More:

China has insisted since the virus first appeared in late 2019 that it had spread from bats to humans via an open-air meat market in Wuhan. Some government and public health officials, private sector scientists, and investigative journalists, however, have said since early in 2020 that there’s substantial evidence that the virus spread somehow from the WIV.

Then-President Donald Trump and Pompeo, as well as Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.), publicly noted the existence of such evidence in April 2020 and called on Chinese officials to allow independent investigators to access the WIV and its records. China refused to do so.

After the November 2020 election, Pompeo pushed within the State Department and the Trump administration for public release of as much evidence as possible.

According to the  Vanity Fair article it wasn’t until after the January 6, 2021 “insurrection” that the CDC saw fit to give voice to the bat-shit-crazy-wet-market-virus-origin deniers.CT

The State Department team, for its part, believed that Ford was the one trying to impose a preconceived conclusion: that COVID-19 had a natural origin. A week later, one of them attended the meeting where Christopher Park, who worked under Ford, advised those present not to draw attention to U.S. funding of gain-of-function research.

With deep distrust simmering, the State Department team convened a panel of experts to confidentially “red team” the lab-leak hypothesis. The idea was to pummel the theory and see if it still stood. The panel took place on the evening of January 7, one day after the insurrection at the Capitol. By then, Ford had announced his plan to resign.

Good job Vanity Fair, letting some old fashioned journalism sneak into your publication. Why don’t you do “Climate Change” next. Because your left-winged coverage to-date of that crap has been just as bad if not worse (e.g.The Trump Administration Is Just Flat-Out Lying About Climate Change) than your prior coverage of the Chinese Murder Virus.CT But kudos for whatever it is you think you’re doing now.

Manipulation Level: Genius

One of the disadvantages – or advantages depending on your point of view – of never watching news, local or otherwise, is not knowing what Tom-foolery is afoot. Yesterday for example I heard on the news while driving around that a new rate went into effect yesterday for Consumers Energy, the utility that provides half the state with electricity.

Consumers Energy's 1.6 million residential electricity customers began paying 50% more during peak afternoon hours this week in an effort to reduce energy generation in the future.

The subsidiary of Jackson-based CMS Energy Corp. has notified its customers in the Lower Peninsula's central, northern and western regions in recent weeks of the utility’s move to the new standard summer peak rate. The rate is in effect from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays starting Tuesday through September. Detroit News

Although the crack news reader on WJR reported, and I quote, “Consumers peak rate will increase by 150%” when it is actually 50%.  No problem: nobody teaches math anymore and accuracy in broadcasting is so old school, but that’s a story for another day.

consumers rates

cp summer rate

To be clear, Consumers and other electric utilities like it, are doing this for the greater good: to save the earth from carbon abusers who don’t care that the planet is dying.

Warm summer afternoons are when energy is used most. Consumers wants to discourage energy usage at those peak times so it doesn’t have to build more power plants to meet demand, Greg Stevenson – Consumers director of summer peak rates – told MLive in early May.

“If that peak is lowered, we don’t have to build anything,” Stevenson said. “That’s the whole clean energy plan.”

Indeed, that IS the whole clean energy plan – don’t build anything. Ask our fellow citizens in Texas how well that plan works out when you really, really need energy.

I’m not sure at which point energy companies transitioned from regulated monopolies to social architects of consumer behavior but they clearly see their job not strictly as providing energy but rather “rewarding smart energy choices.”

To avoid a higher bill, Consumers has a few recommendations for customers:

  • Avoid doing chores like running the dishwasher or doing laundry between 2 and 7 p.m.
  • Replace old lightbulbs with more efficient LEDs
  • Clean or replace air conditioning filters once a month for more efficiency
  • Turn down your air conditioner – adjusting the temperature by one degree can impact bills by 1 to 3%
  • Install a smart thermostat and join the Smart Thermostat Program, which can automatically turn down your air conditioning during peak hours – MLive

I’d be willing to bet it started sometime in the 1980s when the federally funded LIHEAP (Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program) introduced utility companies around the nation to the rush of incredibly addictive corporate welfare programs. Or sure, the first few hits were free, but after that it would cost utilities dearly to maintain that welfare high. Soon they would be required to sign on to suicidal schemes like mothballing nuclear and coal plants, not building any new facilities other than the “green” variety like Jennifer Granholm’s Windmills for Michigan.

burning windmills_power and light [2]Wow! POWER and LIGHT

So, to be clear: both the utility and the Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) who approved this nonsense are doing it for your own good.

That peak can be lowered so that there are fewer facilities running at any given time. That benefits all of our ratepayers and the environment. ... It's all geared at education and incentivizing."

And such schemes have been thoroughly tested in more progressive states:

Time-of-use rates have been used to help facilitate renewable energy integration into the grid in other states, said Greg Keoleian, director for the Center for Sustainable Systems at the University of Michigan. Most energy providers in California have transitioned to these rates, for example.

“For solar, for example, it’s there during the noon hours, but if you have heavy demand when people get home from work, when the solar is going down, it’s a challenge for utilities to meet that demand,” Keoleian said. “It is all about being able to manage the demand more cost-effectively and also to do it with lower environmental impact.”

I’ve no doubt that after years of proper indoctrination – or should I say “education and incentivizing” – the youth of America will be totally onboard with this scheme; at least until their air conditioners go off and their iPhone battery is dead.

As reader Thomas A. reminds us, the charter of the MPSC in part reads as follows:

The MPSC is to ensure they have adequate supply of electric energy to serve Michigan’s homes and businesses in each service territory when demand is highest and approves the rates and conditions for service, including metering and billing, to residential, commercial, and industrial customers.

They have not been doing that for decades. Instead they have been colluding with utilities to thwart the building of traditional energy plants, decommission old ones and attempt to replace the capacity with green energy technology that is still not ready for prime time when extreme weather presents itself.

But don’t worry – Consumers assures you that this manipulative rate change will only cost customers about $2 extra per month! Sure, because we’ll all expected to do exactly as told and turn up the thermostat when we get home from work during the hottest time of the day during the hottest time of the year. Manipulation level genius!

“Words, Just Words…”

Modern Presidential speeches often ring a bell of truth and stir feelings of patriotism, often via the words of speechwriters whose job it is to write inspirational phrases. From Reagan’s “shining city on the hill,” Bush the First’s “thousand point’s of light” and Clinton’s “There is nothing wrong with America that cannot be cured by what is right with America” we heard phrases that few would take exception with. Even 43, who the keepers of culture loved to ridicule for  his “Bushisms” was presidential when he gave formal speeches: “We will not waver; we will not tire; we will not falter, and we will not fail. Peace and Freedom will prevail.”

Then came the Age of Barack Hussein Obama, the “the smartest man with the highest IQ ever to be elected to the presidency,” (h/t historian Michael Beschloss) who according to the media hit a homerun every time he opened his mouth. Even his then opponent and future VP had to acknowledge this:

bo joey

"I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that's a storybook, man." – Joe Biden

Mr. Obama’s eloquence was legendary, between the times he was taking credit for saving the planet…

“this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal”

and totally transforming America, even he had some insightful comments that I agreed with like:

“I wish the country had fewer lawyers and more engineers.” (with no ironic noting that he was a lawyer, not an engineer)

Although this will remain my favorite BHO quote of all time:

obama-breakfast of champions waffles“Why can't I just eat my waffle?”

But then came President Trump: a man our betters considered crude, common, inelegant, unworthy of their time let alone praise. He said dumb, hateful things like “Make America Great Again” and when he spoke it was painfully straight-forward. I would add that it is near impossible to find anything that is not of a snide mocking nature in any standard search engine of anything that President Trump said while in office. If you don’t believe me, give it a try. I promise you’ll run into a brick wall – the only sort of wall the left approves of.

Donald-Trump-Funny-Quotes-and-Comments

I however have a collection of President Donald J. Trump quotes that are fine examples of presidential inspiration:

"The worst things in history have happened when people stop thinking for themselves, especially when they allow themselves to be influenced by negative people. That's what gives rise to dictators. Avoid that at all costs. Stop it first on a personal level, and you will have contributed to world sanity as well as your own."

Every day, I wake up determined to deliver a better life for the people all across this nation that have been neglected, ignored, and abandoned. I have visited the laid-off factory workers and the communities crushed by our horrible and unfair trade deals. These are the forgotten men and women of our country.

“Relish the opportunity to be an outsider. Embrace that label -- being an outsider is fine, embrace the label -- because it's the outsiders who change the world and who make a real and lasting difference.”

We will bring back our borders. We will bring back our wealth. And we will bring back our dreams.

Definitely too simple for elitists to wrap their very-big-brains™ around. With the fraudulent election that gave us the current demented Presidential Place Holder it seems we’ve abandoned all expectation of inspirational thinking from our so-called leaders. Now we just listen to them blather on inappropriately about little girls with nobody in the press-corpse batting an eye.

“I’m especially honored to share the stage with Brittney and Jordan and Nathan and Margaret Katherine,” Biden said. “I love those barrettes in your hair, man. I tell you what — and look at her, she looks like she's 19 years old, sitting there with her, like a little lady with her legs crossed.”

Not is the President-in-Waiting providing anything better: Kamala Harris Bombs at the Naval Academy. i guess she was surprised to discover that after going through grueling training and education the new Naval grads wanted to hear something in her commencement address that was a bit more on–point than Joey and Kamala’s Most Excellent Green Agenda. Note to Kammie: it’s not always about you.

Kamala-Harris-marinesA legend in her own mind

Addressing the next generation of America’s warriors, the vice president cracked a quip about how they’d just love all that green investment she and Joe Biden are planning: “Just ask any Marine today, would she rather carry 20 pounds of batteries or a rolled-up solar panel, and I am positive she will tell you a solar panel—and so would he.”

Ms. Harris’s attempt at gender-inclusive, environment-friendly comedy elicited an appreciative and raucous peal of laughter—but only from her.

I guess it may be official, meritocracy – due to it’s racist nature – is dead to America with these two twits. In Kamala, it’s as if the Peter Principle met Diversity Hire.

Memorial Day, 2021

"Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few." —Winston Churchill

As we do on this day each year, we pause to remember the men and women who died fighting for our freedom. We stand by humbly, gratefully, silently, to honor their sacrifice.

In Flanders Fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

Ensure that they have not died in vain - refuse to be enslaved. It’s the least we can do.

Now get out there and fire up the grills, those burgers, dogs and ribs aren’t going to cook themselves!

burgers dogs ribs

And don’t forget the ‘tater salad! It wouldn’t be the official start of the summer food pyramid season without it. And while today once marked the official sanctioning of white shoe season, I don’t think that’s true anymore. In fact, I’m not sure you can wear white shoes at all…ever.

Looks Like Another Boring Day

“The farmer is the only man in our economy who buys everything at retail, sells everything at wholesale, and pays the freight both ways.” — John F. Kennedy

This just under 4 minute video, cheekily titled  “How to Fold a Fitted Sheet,”  shows you in real time how long it takes to destroy a grain storage bin.

Given the current politico-cultural milieu a good sub-titled might be “Biden’s America: the devolution of a perfectly good structure.” It is oddly compelling though, like watching a train wreck.

If you’re inclined, here is a 16+ minute video that shows the flip side: something of the science, engineering and economics involved in the building of such a structure, from the top down strangely enough. It also shows the use and value of having such a grain bin. It’s not quite as sexy as the demolition video which perhaps explains everything you need to know about the current popularity of watching train wrecks as a spectator sport.

Remember: To a Prog a day without destruction is like, you know, just another day.
