Thank you for selecting me to provide your routine Prog analysis needs.

I believe this is a recent example of the Proglodytes own history of  selecting and using effective campaign propaganda. It is also a fine example of the application of  Alinsky’s  4th Rule: “make the enemy live up to their own rules;” in this case a corollary that states: “use the enemy’s own words against them.” Quite effective, no?

Interestingly enough, it also displays the GOP’s consistent opposition to the design and adoption of socialism, supporting through the decades the concept of individual responsibility combined with private charities.This historical context tends to diminish the allegations of “racism” leveled against members of the GOP (including the Tea Party Anarchists) for opposing his Big Government plans, which many consider to be socialist.

I hope you found this analysis helpful EllaMae. If not, please keep in mind that it is 100% complimentary.

And since it was such a good question, I would like to present you with this GOP rejoinder to the “History of the GOP in 3 buttons”. I believe that it too will find a niche in the archival collection of political sloganisms. I hope you like it:

They were also kind enough to provide some specifics to support their allegation:

1. Social Security disability fraud – I should note that the Progs have already denounced the veracity of the 60 Minutes report (thanks Media Matters, for the scoop, and for your relentless pursuit of the truth as you know it). Unfortunately, evidence of fraud continues to collect under every rock you look under.
2. Medicare fraud is even more lucrative: take Muhammad Shahab from Detroit, for example: Shahab bilked Medicare to the tune of over $11 million! Butt that’s nothing compared to another doctor, an oncologist also from the Detroit area, Dr. Farid Fata. I can’t give you an exact dollar amount of his malpractice, butt this sick puppy diagnosed perfectly healthy patients with cancer and charged Medicare for their chemotherapy. There must be a special ring in hell for this kind of sicko. And then we have this; Kathopotomus herself caught 89 people guilty of $223 million worth of Medicare fraud last spring! And this is just the low hanging fruit. Imagine what we can find at the top of the tree!

3.  So, we’re up to Obamacare. Thankfully, nobody’s been able to sign up yet so we won’t have any fraud to report yet, right?

For further study of the malevolence of GOP actions and intentions, @zizii2 has done a lot of legwork over on the Obama Diary blog. They provide convincing evidence that the GOP has already initiated a coup d'état:

A nation is manipulated through a series of fiendishly planned rolling crises. Inchoate mass fear grows but its targeting is skillfully re-directed toward infighting, such that it becomes diffuse and rather impotent against the actual instigators.

Then a messiah runs to the rescue, suspends the constitution, promises to get rid of “waste, fraud, & abuse.” Says the abrogation of said Constitution is only “temporary.” Commandeers media to support “the people” in their new “Freedom, Liberty, Fraternity”.

Now, I know what you’re thinking, “butt MOTUS - this sounds like a Democratic coup!” Hold onto your britches. The author has noodled it all out and presents proof that it’s actually the diabolical GOP behind this nefarious plot:

“It is no hyperbole to identify all the symptoms of a coup d’état in the making, from the GOP hostage taking underway.”

In support of his thesis, @zizii2 cites a luminary source, the New York Times. The Times article fingers groups (the Heritage foundation, Tea Party Patriots, Americans for Prosperity and FreedomWorks), and individuals (the Koch brothers, Michelle Bachman, Ted Cruz – hated, all) as ring leaders in this unauthorized uprising.

Using an unprecedented political ploy – Organizing For Action - they apparently plotted to promote the current movement afoot to defund Obamacare. And please, don’t tell me about the Democratic mounted campaign to defund the War on Terror; that was entirely different because, um, the Democrats mounted it.

Although this GOP effort is a “David vs. Goliath” fight, 

conservatives are finding that with relatively small advertising buys, they can make a splash. Generation Opportunity, the youth-oriented outfit behind the “Creepy Uncle Sam” ads, is spending $750,000 on that effort, aimed at dissuading young people — a cohort critical to the success of the health care overhaul — from signing up for insurance under the new law.

And they followed this semi-successful organizing and propaganda campaign up with a “Defund Obamacare Townhall Tour.  How dare they?!  All of these tactics are the province of the Progs! Revolution? Appeal to youth? WTF!  Prog programs, all! What do these Social Darwinist troglodytes think they’re doing?!?.

I can tell you this: they didn’t build that tactic on their own. Somebody else built that for them!

So, EllaMae, on further thought, allow me to present an alternative response to your request for analysis of the “GOP History in 3 Buttons.” I call it the “Prog History in 3 Buttons.”

Butt wait! If you buy all three today as part of a special Obamacare promotion, I’ll also throw in this bonus button, that could become a collectors item!

Sir Bob Geldof has a message for the youth of the world: We’re all going to die!

Some of us may be closer than others

Sir Bob, musician-turned-activist, is best known, ironically, for his Live Aid concerts to eliminate African famine. Unlike most people, who embrace nihilism in their youth, he seems to have adopted it in a senior moment. In any event, he was back in South Africa last week to announce to a group of school children that the end of the world is nigh. Apparently all of his efforts and best intentions for saving the world were, well, pointless. That must have turned him into a very sad little man.

Yes, it did.

I believe that Sir Bob stated that at precisely 12:17 P.M. (EDT) on September 27, 2030 humankind will come to an end – because of our climate change “problem” – a term that he and everyone else in the doomsday brigade have embraced now that the world hasn’t shown any warming for the past 15 years. Or, come to think of it, for the last 115 years.

Anyway, I have it from reliable sources that this truth (about the end of the world) was revealed to Sir Bob by computer models provided with compliments of the IPPC (UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) and the Michael Mann School of Post-normal Scientology and Hockey Tricks.

That’s a mighty big hockey puck Michael, you’ll need a really big stick to play with it.

In any event, Sir Bob upset the children by presenting them with these facts that he extracted from his infallible climate model data:

“We're in a very fraught time.There will be a mass extinction event. That could happen on your watch.”

“The signs are that it will happen and soon.”

"We may not get to 2030. We need to address the problem of climate change urgently."

The former Boomtown Rats singer also predicted that “the next war will not be a World War One or a World War Two, it will be the end.” Duh; normally you wouldn’t have to mention that, butt kids don’t learn much about history anymore.

Anyway, this explains a lot about what’s been going on in Washington. For example, everyone has been wondering why Big Guy’s Big Brains made him keep global warming at the top of his agenda, and continue to hammer the coal industry;

Linking global warming to public health, disease and extreme weather, the Obama administration pressed ahead Friday with tough requirements to limit carbon pollution from new power plants. (especially coal)

All of the above; except dirty coal

…despite having all those phony scandals to refute, the looming debt ceiling crisis that’s going to cause another Great Depression (so we will not negotiate on it), and the fiasco of the Obamacare rollout combined with the drastic increase in the plan’s costs (so we will not negotiate on that either).

Now you see how the priorities have been set: if the whole world is going to end in 17 years unless we ACT NOW, well, what DAT-P-DIM (difference at this point does it make; h/t Abenaki)?

Which is precisely why, as Barry put it “I don’t have much patience for people who deny climate change.” Certainly not when it’s getting so hot around here.

So allow me to make this whole climate charade change situation perfectly clear:

“It should be generally understood at this point that the entire point of the long-running “global warming” gag is for tiny centralized bodies of officials to gain control over industrialized economies and engage in global wealth redistribution.”

I’m certain that Sir Bob is not a member of the Bilderberg group, so he may not be privy to the endgame; butt with his high profile and reputation for saving the world, he sure is an impressively useful tool.

And maybe that's why we shouldn’t turn to “musicians-turned-activists” for insight on matters related to science, or any other issue that requires a modicum of either math or brains.

Question of the Day: Whose Big Scientific Brain is most like Sir Bob’s – Einstein’s or the Einstein caterpillar’s?

Remember, Sir Bob Geldof was really good at only one thing: organizing great concerts. And while that’s one more thing than Algore was ever really good at, it still doesn’t qualify him to be a scientist, prophet or prognosticator of worldwide weather patterns. It does, however qualify him to be a Global Warmist.

So I leave you with this this thought from one of Sir Bob’s major accomplishment in life, organizing the Live Aid 1985 concert:

The only verse I really like from the song is this one:

Unfortunately, I don’t think it means what Big Guy thinks it means.

Government Shutdown Day 6: Lie, Lies, Lies and Five Guys

Day Six and the Obamacare Website - riddled with “glitches,” error messages and random question marks since it went live, is now officially down for “scheduled maintenance.”  I might have scheduled it for a little more convenient time: like maybe before we went live.

Finally! A shovel ready project.

Fortunately nobody has paid much attention as we’ve shape-shifted everyone’s attention to  THE GREAT AMERICAN ANARCHIST GOVERNMENT SHUT DOWN OF 2013 rather than the failure of the great American socialized medicine system. Can you even imagine the fodder that could be derived from that unfortunate metaphor!?

After 3 years in the incubator and we suffered a major system overload and complete failure just 5 days into the program.

Uh, yeah, Houston, we have a problem: failure to launch.

Any way you try to paint it, that doesn’t bode well for the future of America’s health care.

And that’s why we’ve – temporarily - transformed our “Hope’nChange” promotion to  “Happe’nChance.”

No longer content to wait for a good crisis to exploit, we are going to make our own damn luck from now on! Which is brilliant on several fronts; not only does it allow us to shift LoFo’s attention where ever we need it, butt since our Big Brain Crisis Team isn’t any good at resolving crises we’ve reassigned them to creating them.

So, in case you still don’t get it, that’s why Barry has dug his heels in and declared there will be no shore leave until morale improves:

Here’s Big Guy chastising the American Teahadists for shutting down America because they don’t like Obamacare – which happens to be “the law of the land”- just because he’s black. He also relays just a few of the thousands of sob stories submitted (as a result of our solicitation) about hardships imposed by the heartless Republicans:

In order to prevent despair among the camp of loyal civilian troops, Barry sent them all a personal letter praising them for their past performance and sacrifice:

“You have endured three years of a Federal pay freeze, harmful sequester cuts, and now, a shutdown of our Government. And yet, you persevere, continuing to serve the American people with passion, professionalism, and skill."

"None of this is fair to you. And should it continue, it will make it more difficult to keep attracting the kind of driven, patriotic, idealistic Americans to public service that our citizens deserve and that our system of self-government demands,"

I don’t know about that last part; the salary and perks alone for government jobs might continue to attract youngsters unable to find any jobs in the private sector.

Then we went on to assure them that, while he knew they didn’t want to take this unplanned vacation, he would do everything in his power to ensure that they get paid for it:

"I will continue to do everything in my power to get the House of Representatives to allow our Government to reopen as quickly as possible, and make sure you receive the pay that you have earned,"

3 years, 130,000 employees, $900 billion dollars and all I got was this lousy error message.

If you don’t think this is a “big f’ing deal,” think about this: nearly 17% of our federal overlords have been furloughed! Who will feed us? Who will give us free condoms and free Obamaphones? I think you can now see just how serious this historic shutdown is and why the MSM can focus on nothing else – well, other than Halle Berry’s (she’s black, you know) new baby boy.

And I want you to know, we’re all sharing your pain. Instead of our family meals and snacks being prepared by our long time personal chef, Sammy K, we are making do with sustenance  pulled together by White House chef Comerford, and take-out from Five Guys until this ordeal is over.

Plus, we’re down to just one dog handler which, as you can see, is going to be a real problem:

Government Shutdown, Day 5: Bring Me Your Sob Story

Day 5 and everything’s closed except the borders. (h/t Jay Leno) This is an important message from your Federal Government:

And the White House wants to share your sorrow. Your government handlers want to know; how has the American Anarchist (AA) wing of the Republican party screwed up your life? Tell us, just how bad is it? Have we been successful in demonstrating how much pain Big Guy can inflict when your government is closed by terrorists?

Boy, that AA party is really making it hard out there for a pimp.

Have to wait in line to buy stamps? Or worse, to collect your food stamps? (oh, SNAP!) We need your input. That’s how we keep score, to know if we are WINNING! yet.

And speaking of pimps and Obamacare: we were working on a way to rein in its run away costs by selling luxury items at deep, deep discounts. Butt apparently, some people thought that was unethical or something, so now the entire Obamacare Website has been hijacked shut down; for “maintenance.”  Hee, hee hee! I’m sure that its closure is somehow related to the American Anarchist Party’s holding a gun to our head. And I would point out, the closure has nothing to do with the hateful messages that some members of the AA party have been leaving all over the site - trying to make it sound like Obamacare isn’t working, or something.

And please, stop submitting your pictures of businesses closing due to Obamacare. At this point we have no plans for soliciting those stories, butt will advise you if this changes.

Let’s just stay focused on one thing at a time.

The Terrorists vs. the Scare-O-rists: Day 4 Government Shutdown

Earlier this week everyone in the MSM was running around saying “Ted Cruz didn’t have an end game!”

Guess who else doesn’t have an end game?

So, I guess all we can do is hunker down and wait for the Republicans to fold. It’s getting tough around here; turkey chili for lunch…every day! And they’re only emptying our waste paper baskets once a day, which is a problem as we recently jumped on the mini-trashcan bandwagon,

butt due to the terrorist government shutdown, have yet to implement our “cut the crap” initiative.

Here’s what I can report from the war zone so far:

The  American Anarchist (AA) Party terrorists still have bombs strapped around their chests, and they continue to hold the hostages they took at gunpoint. 

Big Guy, as you know, has remained calm, cool, collected while making it perfectly clear that he won’t negotiate with domestic terrorists.

And when I say perfectly clear, I mean PERFECTLY clear.

For their part, the scare-O-rists in the American Progressive (AP) Party have warned of the horrors that are in store for us if the American Anarchists are not beaten back into their hole.

James Clapper told us that he’s expecting terrorist attacks (foreign) if the AA don’t surrender. Because apparently three quarters of the CIA  staff is considered nonessential and have gone golfing. I don’t know about you, butt if their absence makes us susceptible to terrorist attacks, I might have placed their jobs in the “essential” column.

Equally bad, if not worse, the continuing shutdown is likely to lead to The Great Depression, 3.0:

A failure of the U.S. to pay its obligations if the debt limit is not raised “would be unprecedented and has the potential to be catastrophic,” Treasury said in a brief report intended for members of Congress and also released publicly by the agency.

“Credit markets could freeze, the value of the dollar could plummet, U.S. interest rates could skyrocket, the negative spillovers could reverberate around the world, and there might be a financial crisis and recession that could echo the events of 2008 or worse,” the report said.

I have no idea who “leaked” this report to Politico yesterday, causing a negative stock market reaction, butt I do know it was one of our essential employees.

Not yet leaked, is this distressing piece of information as well: without an end to the government shutdown and approval to raise our credit limit to heights unknown, the temporary slow down in global warming and reversal of the rise of the oceans due to Big Guy’s inauguration,

 

will be reversed and the earth’s temperature will soar by 212 degrees!

Wow, that seems like a lot! Unbelievable, actually. Too bad fact checkers have been considered nonessential at the networks for years now.

Anyway, without the defeat of the American Anarchists, you can expect the Gorical to come out of his hole, see the sun and declare 6 more millennium of earth fever.

Al GORE: People think about geothermal energy - when they think about it at all - in terms of the hot water bubbling up in some places, but two kilometers or so down in most places there are these incredibly hot rocks, 'cause the interior of the earth is extremely hot, several million degrees, and the crust of the earth is hot ...

The pressure is beginning to get to Barry; he’s not sounding as smooth as usual, even with TOTUS:

“If you're working here, and in the middle of the day you just stopped and said, ‘You know what, I want to get something, but I don't know exactly what I'm going to get, but I'm just going to stop working till I get something, and I'm going to shut down the whole plant until I get something,’ you’d get fired,” Obama said at the M. Luis Construction Co. in Rockville, Md.

I expect we’ll be hearing from the UAW, AFL-CIO and SEIU pretty soon. They aren’t going to like the fact that BO just approved the firing of union workers when they go on strike.
