Politics: Keeping Up With the Kardashians. And Sopranos.

I heard that Huffpo will no longer be covering the Donald’s campaign as news:

After watching and listening to Donald Trump since he announced his candidacy for president, we have decided we won't report on Trump's campaign as part of The Huffington Post's political coverage. Instead, we will cover his campaign as part of our Entertainment section. Our reason is simple: Trump's campaign is a sideshow. We won't take the bait. If you are interested in what The Donald has to say, you'll find it next to our stories on the Kardashians and The Bachelorette.

Following their lead I will no longer be reporting on Hilz’ campaign as political coverage either. Instead, I will cover her campaign as part of my Fiction and/or Business sections. My reason is simple: Hilz campaign is more of a business built on a pack of lies. I won’t swallow them. If you are interested you’ll find it next to my stories on Quick Weight Loss and other Internet scams.

hilz liesHilz: Lying to you since 1972

Accordingly, I will no longer be reporting Big Guy’s campaign to fundamentally transform Amerika as political coverage either. Instead, I will cover his campaign as part of my True Crimes and Treason section. Again, my reason is simple: Barry’s actions have progressed beyond perfidy into straight out treason. I won’t swallow his social justice premise. If you are interested in what the Won has to say, you’ll find it next to my stories on grifters, con-artists and the Clinton Crime Family.

obama cell jailThis will be your cell, sir.

We the People will no longer settle for impeachment; we now demand jail time.

Alternatively, check the Entertainment section, for new tidbits on the Kardashian President.

Still Clinging to Guns and Religion…

I see you’re conflicted on this Mr. President, so let me be perfectly clear:

bo and the lone gunman

Muhammad was not a “lone gunman.” He was a jihadi; an agent of the Islamic State, our sworn enemy despite your hesitancy to reciprocate – or even participate.

Nor was Muhammad even a terrorist – domestic or otherwise. Because prior to the age of deconstruction (i.e. B.O.) - when words still had meaning - terrorism was defined as “the use of violence or the threat of violence against civilians, in the pursuit of political goals.” Attacking a military target was considered an act of war. All that gets fuzzier when you refuse to even name your enemy; as Rudy Giuliani explained:

“You see, if you don’t call it something, you can’t connect the dots. If you can’t connect the dots, you can’t really combat it militarily.”

Butt since Barry doesn’t believe in war, we have homeland military installations with unarmed personnel, stationed in “Gun-Free Zones.”

gun free zone

So instead of dealing with an enemy who wants to establish a caliphate and kill everyone who will not submit, we have “lone wolves,” “lone gunmen” and “workplace violence.”

Odd, isn’t it, that Barry doesn’t like the fact that small town Americans cling to their guns and religion butt is seemingly “content” (h/t Major Garrett) with our enemies doing the same.

Slippery Slopes: They’re Not Fallacies

Just last week, in reference to the abandonment of first principles, we were reminded by Mark Steyn:

The trick of civilizational self-preservation is to spot this stuff when it's just small things and stop it at the itsy-bitsy stage. It's never one thing that is unlike the other, two opposing corners of civilization and barbarism, an express train rocketing from one to the other. It's always a continuum.

Since several of you have posted the now infamous video of Dr. Deborah Nucatola discussing the sale of, uh, “undifferentiated tissue mass” I will not do so again. Butt I will point out that it could certainly be used as Exhibit A in the capital case against unintended consequences.

When people talk about slippery slopes, this is precisely the sort of thing that they are referring to.

slipperyslope1Warning: slippery slopes not always as well marked

The darkness drops again but now I know
That twenty centuries of stony sleep
Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?

Because a man hears what he wants to hear…

Lord Weidenfeld, 94, a Jewish British citizen, is spending his own money to rescue 2000 Christians from the Islamic State terrorists in Syria and Iraq.  He’s doing this to show his gratitude to the religion that rescued him from the Nazis in occupied Austria in 1938.

samuel goldwyn critics

In today’s politically correct world however, where “no good deed goes unpunished,” he is being criticized for not offering to rescue Muslims who are also being persecuted by the Islamic State. Fortunately for the world, members of the Greatest Generation are far more capable of practicing judicious pragmatism than their progeny. Allow Lord Weidenfeld to explain to his critics, quite simply, why his aid is limited to Christians:

“I had a debt to repay. It applies to so many young people who were on the Kinderstransports. It was Quakers and other Christian denominations who brought those children to England.

“I can’t save the world, but there is a very specific possibility on the Christian side. Let others do what they like for the Muslims.”

My advice - follow Lord Weidenfeld’s example: ignore the criticism and just do what you can. Just like Sultan Knish reminded us the other day.

winston churchill on critics

Because if “a man hears what he wants to hear…and disregards the rest” political correctness no longer has any power.

"The Boxer"

I am just a poor boy.
Though my story's seldom told,
I have squandered my resistance
For a pocketful of mumbles,
Such are promises
All lies and jest
Still, a man hears what he wants to hear
And disregards the rest.

When I left my home
And my family,
I was no more than a boy
In the company of strangers
In the quiet of the railway station,
Running scared,
Laying low,
Seeking out the poorer quarters
Where the ragged people go,
Looking for the places
Only they would know.

Barry and Carré’s Excellent Adventure

nuclear iran

In another in his series of “How about I give you my new car for one of your old shoes?” deals, BHO and his secretary Jean Carré sealed their nuclear deal with Iran. And as soon as Congress rubber stamps it, the Barry-Carré team will enable the staging of George Carlin’s wet dream.

“I can't wait until the Middle East really explodes. Ancient hatred and modern weapons. My kind of show, man!” - George Carlin

And this just in from BHO’s early morning teleprompter read: Big Guy will “vee-toe” any attempt by the do-nothing Congress to oppose his will. So there.

Also, since Joey B showed up to stand by his man, I think we might now begin to speculate that Joey’s decided to run as Barry’s Boy against Hilz.

That is all. You may now return to your regularly scheduled sheeple programming.

Affirmation For The MOTI

Take a bow, MOTI, you are all innate insurgents.

At least according to Daniel Greenfield, the Sultan of Knish. I think one of you must have posted a link to this post as it was in my satchel of “must reads.” Butt if, like me, you never find time to get around to reading all those gems stuffed into your perpetual stack of stuff, here’s one you don’t want to miss: Five Ways to Fight the Left and Make Your Life Better. He lists 5 things that the MOTI (Famiglia MOTUS) have been doing for years now.

Organic Opposition doesn't require organizations or a movement. It's about living in ways that naturally oppose the left.

Most of the people here already live in ways that the left resents without even thinking about it. Organic Opposition is about finding new ways to oppose the power of the left in your life.

This is not a complete checklist. It's a set of general ideas and people are welcome to add to them in the comments. – Sultan Knish

So, in the words of Sergeant Phil Esterhaus: “let’s be careful out there.” And don’t forget to watch your back.

Oh, and from the comments, one additional suggestion from the “when you’re in a hole, stop digging” school of enterprise:

6. Don't marry and or reproduce with a liberal.

That one might help most of all.

Kinky Boots – Forever!

KinkyBoots_Poster_MHWeb-300x300Of course it’s a musical! With TransJenders!

Kinky Boots: A drag queen comes to the rescue of a man who, after inheriting his father's shoe factory, needs to diversify his product if he wants to keep the business afloat.

That’s right, the entire first female family went to Broadway to watch the Tony Award winning Kinky Boots. Why? Because we’re on vacation! And we’re not going to Martha’s Vineyard for another 4 weeks.

First Lady Michelle Obama and her two daughters brought their dancing shoes to the Saturday matinee of the hit Broadway show “Kinky Boots.”

The First Family, despite the efforts of Secret Service agents to get them to leave, danced and clapped in the aisles after the curtain fell at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, tweeted playwright Harvey Fierstein. – NY Daily News

And believe me, if anyone knows about kinky boots, it’s Lady M.

boots

Scary, yes, butt this is the kinky boot - coming soon to a theatre near me - that frightens me:

P.S. Tell me your grandkids won’t be singing these songs 25 years from now:

Requiem for a Flag. And History

Yeah, that’s right: all this for a damn flag

In the mistaken belief that denying history is the same as making it go away, the Confederate Flag was laid to rest yesterday by a coalition of States’ Rights deniers and 21st Century Orwellians.

In a breath-taking act of self-censorship the South Carolina Assembly voted to refrain from exercising their freedom of expression and banished the flag from the capital. Forgetting, or ignoring, the actual history of the Civil War in favor of a version that makes it all about slavery is all very au courant. And it’s a cute trick: by denying history you have the power to change it. If it works for Iran, surely it can work for us:

Holocaust Denial and the Iranian Regime In Tehran's worldview; if six million Jews didn't die, then Israel has no excuse to exist. WSJ

The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down

Oh sure, I know – “butt MOTUS, the Joan Baez version!” Sorry, not only did The Band do it first, they wrote it, and Levon Helm (RIP) owns it.

So put your Confederate flag away and get your dog whistle out, you’re gonna’ be needing it.
