Charles Nicholas Wall, 45, and his stepdaughter Laura Ashley Anderson, 21, both white, were shot dead by Ty Sheem Ha Sheem Walters III, 23, black.

The local news called it a road rage incident, that’s BS. Ty Sheem Ha Sheem Walters III rear-ended Wall’s car as Wall was turning into his step-daughter’s driveway. Although Walters was clearly at fault Democrats have spent years telling him that he’s a victim so I’m sure he felt more than justified in murdering two innocent people and wounding a third because he thought they got in his way.

“We’re Here and They’re Not.” I Approve This Message.

The Democrats held a 4-day long Festivus celebration last week. Participants spent their days and nights cataloguing America’s sins as they read through their obligatory List of Grievances. By contrast President Trump wrapped up his party’s convention last night on an optimistic high note. And fireworks.

trump fireworksHow can Democrats lead a country they want to tear down?

Although that’s not what you’ll hear if you tune into Fake Media for a recap; they called the President’s acceptance speech “dark” and “repugnant.” Of course they also pre-determined that Joey’s speech “embraced the light and spoke against the darkness” - before he ever made it.

CNN's Van Jones admits Dems were going to 'praise' Biden DNC speech 'as long as he didn't embarrass himself' 'We were prepared for it to be a terrible speech,' ex-Obama adviser told Anderson Cooper. – Fox

So we can only assume that they had likewise pre-determined that President Trump’s speech would be “dark” and “repugnant.”

All I know for certain is that nobody let Joey stay up to watch it as it began well past his bedtime. Just as well; he would have become agitated to the point where he threatened to “take (Trump) behind the gym and beat the hell out of him” again.

Which wouldn’t sound the least bit presidential. At least not if President Trump had said it.

Could it be that Joey and PDs (Progressive Democrats) are beginning to get the message, as Greg Gutfeld noted?

I suspect their polls are beginning to show them the “light.” I predict a lot of pivoting in the days ahead for Joey and the PDs.

Republican National Convention, Night 2.

The second night of the RNC is the stuff dreams are made of; nightmares if you’re a liberal Prog.

Mike Pompeo, speaking against the backdrop of Jerusalem's Old City, related how President Trump’s “America First” policy has had positive benefits around the world. Among them smashing the Islamic State’s caliphate – yes, that “JV team” that Obama claimed to “have on the run” back in November of 2015 just days before they conducted a series of coordinated attacks on Paris killing 130 people.

Democrats’ response: Mr. Pompeo’s speech violated the Hatch Act.

First Lady Melania Trump’s speech closed out the evening.

RNC 2020: Melania Trump, Mike Pompeo Buck Tradition With ...

She expressed sympathy for people who lost loved ones to COVID-19 or are themselves suffering from the virus, called for unity amid the racial tensions that are currently causing strife across the country, cited her youthful dreams of coming to America while growing up in communist Yugoslav Slovenia and called for peace and civility at both home and abroad.

Democrats main takeaway: “Did you see how Melania ruined the beautiful Rose Garden!?”

As soon as people on Twitter saw the images, they let loose with their opinions. Some people just criticized the aesthetic of the new design by calling it "cold and empty," while others pointed out that the First Lady was prioritizing the garden during a global pandemic that's killing thousands of Americans.

RoseGardenMassacre Trends As Melania's Redesign Of Iconic Rose ...

Overwrought Twitterers and Facebookers claimed last weekend that Melania’s Rose Garden redo had removed and ruined Jacqueline Kennedy’s Rose Garden design:

"In yet another insult to George Washington and the country, Melania ordered the cherry tree to be chopped down," the post reads. "The Cherry trees planted by Jackie Kennedy. Every administration had preserved them!"

They also claimed that she had removed roses planted by “every First Lady since 1913.” Send in the fact checkers, please.

Verdict FALSE. On all fronts.  The recent renovation was intended to "return it to its original ‘62 footprint as designed by Bunny Mellon during Jackie Kennedy’s time as First Lady. The trees that were removed (not “chopped down”) were crabapples not cherry and were replanted elsewhere on the grounds. There were no “roses planted by ‘every First Lady since 1913’” remaining in the garden as they need to be replaced periodically, and the limestone paths that liberal aesthetes find so offensive were put in to allow people with disabilities access to the Rose Garden  - something that libs would otherwise celebrate.

So we’re left with the personal opinion, no doubt colored by politics, that the new Rose Garden design is “cold and empty.” So unlike the days of yore when Obama filled our Rose Garden with color:

Nobody Does It Better

Even Dems have already tired of Joey and Kamala’s future-vision-America. And regardless of what you think you saw and heard is light! Not dark! Optimistic! So instead of talking about Joey’s plan, which hasn’t actually been articulated yet, they’ve taken to carping about the Post Office hoping to create another conspiracy theory to take the place of Russia! Russia! Russia! scam. Just in case they lose another election to President Trump.

And Nancy Pelosi, poster child of projection, had her very own “deplorable” moment yesterday, calling us “Domestic Enemies…enemies of the State.”

Speaker Nancy Pelosi to MSNBC on Monday: "What happened in 2016 was discouraging. The Russians were there. And they are there now 24/7 trying to interfere in our election. But they're not the only ones. We take an oath to protect and defend the Constitution from all enemies, foreign and domestic. And, sadly, the domestic enemies to our voting system and our honoring our Constitution are right at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, with their allies in the Congress of the United States. But, again, let's just get out there and mobilize, organize, and not let the president deter anybody from voting."The Speaker’s two banks of eyebrows rival McDonald’s iconic double arches

Wait, what? We are the domestic enemies? Not the Democrat condoned BLM and ANTIFA thugs burning down our cities?

Who is this deranged octogenarian with the McDonald’s double-arches eyebrows, and why does she keep demonizing us?

We are constantly told how dangerous it is to dehumanize and demonize one’s political opposition. Pelosi does it over and over and all you get is what you got in that clip, which is a news “anchor” nodding along approvingly and saying “right,” as if she doesn’t actually sound like a deranged lunatic. - RT

Not surprisingly every MSM commentator last night used their DNC talking points and agreed that day one of the Republican National Convention was “dark” “ominous” and “divisive.” It was if they were watching reruns of their own convention last week.

Storm Front: Giddy-Up

What’s the score in the Conway family dispute?

Kellyanne Conway’s Trump-hating daughter is apparently ready for a new family.

“I’m officially pushing for emancipation. Buckle up because this is probably going to be public one way or another, unfortunately. Welcome to my life,” 15-year-old Claudia Conway tweeted Saturday night.

On Sunday night:

Daughter 1: Mommy 0? Mommy 1: Daughter 0?

Daddy 1: Daughter 1: Mommy 0?

I’m going with tied at 0:0:0.

The score isn’t clear but it’s obvious that they’re all losing. A 15 year old attention whore doesn’t just get to this point without parental complicity whether intentional or unintentional.

No 15 Y/O should look like this already hardened piece of work

How could this workaholic, dysfunctional couple not see what a toll their lives and livelihoods were having on their kids, especially their eldest?

I’d guess you lost your pony, it grew into a horse on its own and now you don’t recognize it anymore.

I wish all of the Conways the best of luck trying to set their family right but it may be 15 years too late. I do hope all the storms stay out to sea…

and a happier day dawns on all.

Meanwhile, giddy-up.

Farmers’ Market: Worse Than Hitler! Edition

I chuckled at Mellow Lemoncello’s (aka Betty Ann) comment about her trip to the farmers’ market yesterday:

“I just walked around at the farmer’s market, everyone’s face plastered by masks, without one on my self. I took pictures and talked to everyone. Only one lady said, Are you protesting the masks? I said yes ma’am. Later as I left, I saw her pulling hers off.”

And I nodded in agreement at Lisa D’s reply:

“…Are they in happy compliance, like our daughter, or trying to avoid the Karens and judgemental looks? We are forced to wear them in every freakin place here except outside. With the heat my breathing in a mask is almost impossible. So today I'm giving son a few bucks to shop for me. I hate to see him with that dumb mask. Can't believe how compliant Americans have become. I literally tell the TV or radio to fek off every time I hear one of their stupid 1984 inspired messages.”

By Executive Order of Her Royal Highness Wretched Gretchen masks are mandated in Michigan for the foreseeable future wherever people are “allowed” to congregate. Naturally this includes outdoor farmers’ markets. It so happened that we too went to a local market yesterday to pick up some fresh whitefish and smoked Great Lakes salmon for a good old fashioned Mid-west fish boil. Raj’s sister hauls fish pulled from the waters around the Straits of Mackinac on Friday downstate to sell in the markets around the Detroit area on Saturday. So needless to say it is fresh, delicious, and worth the trip across town to pick it up.

Or at least it used to be. Now that people have been conditioned to automatically don masks that is no longer sufficient to virtue signal how much your local officials care about your safety. So now the good people running the Saturday market have the larger vendors barricading their produce from the riff raff (us) displayed on their tables behind orange plastic construction/snow fencing.

Yes, this

I wish I was kidding but I am not. It is there to prevent you from touching anything. So now the process of buying tomatoes consists of queuing up safely (behind your face mask) to wait your turn to point at the size, color, variety you wish to exchange for cash – which is, surprisingly, still accepted and returned to customers as (contaminated) change.

But that’s not the worst of it. The local Nazi squad has also implemented a one way only traffic flow through the market – also to “keep you safe.”

Because I guess microscopic COVID viruses only move in one direction at a time.

Oh, and they have installed a Nazi stormtrooper at the “EXIT ONLY - NO ENTRY” point on the south end. She was equipped with a counter, although it was unclear whether she was counting people coming or going. Unfortunately for her we happened to park right by her “NO ENTRY” point and the fish stand is just on the other side of this (former) entry point. So we blithely ignored her plaintiff cries of “Sir! Ma’am! You can’t go in this way!”  Yet we did, and proceeded to pick up our fish, chat with Raj’s sister, point to the tomatoes and corn I bought from the vendor next door and slipped away, illegally, via the rear of the fish monger’s booth.

Had I read the new market rules/protocols before going -

Talk about a knack for sucking the joy out of life

I very likely wouldn’t have gone at all. Yes, yes, I know: we’re in the middle of a pandemic. But what about that great liberal mantra - “my body, my choice!” – or does that not apply…this time?

Wouldn’t it be great if they finally get it?

Meanwhile I will stick to our much smaller, saner little town farmers’ market on Thursdays. Life’s too short to deal with Nazis every stinkin’ day.

Motown: The City That Can Mess Up a Two Car Parade

Just a side note to this week’s Democratic National Convention: One of Thursday night’s speakers was Michigan's top election official, Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson. As her party stressed the need to “protect voting rights” this fall, Benson touted the virtues and safety of voting by mail.

Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson speaks at Democratic National Convention on Thursday, Aug. 20, 2020.

“There is absolutely zero difference between voting by mail and voting absentee, [except requesting an absentee ballot requires that you be, at a minimum, alive] Benson said at another point, referencing Republican President Donald Trump's arguments that there are differences between voting absentee and widespread voting by mail.

“Millions of Americans have been voting absentee for decades, [even after they’re dead] Benson said. "Donald Trump, his family, his staff, they all vote by mail." – Detroit News

Benson’s position is interesting whereas she reported just a week earlier that over 10,000 otherwise legitimate ballots in Michigan’s August 4th primary were invalid and could not be counted due to late arrival or invalid signatures.

“With turnout and absentee ballot numbers expected to double or even triple in November, we could be looking at tens of thousands of Michigan citizens disenfranchised if the Legislature again fails to act.”

Then yesterday, a day after her spot at the DNC, all four members of the State Board of Canvassers blasted problems with counting ballots in Detroit's primary election as “alarming” and “concerning.” To be specific, 72% of Detroit's absentee ballot counts were off, meaning that the number of ballots tracked in precinct poll books did not match the number of ballots counted. Beyond the obvious, this is a particularly thorny issue in Michigan because by State law precincts whose poll books don’t match with ballots can’t be recounted. This is a recurring problem in Michigan; in 2016 election officials couldn’t reconcile vote totals for 59% of precincts, 136 of them in Detroit where “significant discrepancies” in votes were noted due to “an abundance of human errors.”

Lest Democrats view the inability to do recounts as a feature rather than a bug,

allow me to remind them that while it might allow the original vote tally to stand, an alternate remedy provides that all of the votes in the out-of-balance precinct could be invalidated. Since most of the out of balance precincts are always in Detroit, where few if any vote Republican, that will benefit - that’s right - Trump! Your arch-nemesis.

Boy, where is Jimmy Carter when we really need him?
